Remembrance Day service at City Hall

Nov. 1, 2017 – Join veterans and members from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 for a wreath-laying ceremony at City Hall on Remembrance Day, Saturday, Nov. 11, as they honour the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for their country.

Everyone is invited to the lawn at City Hall at 10:15 a.m. for a wreath-laying ceremony at the City Honour Rolls, the Watson Memorial and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24 Cenotaph, followed by the Last Post.

Veterans and Legion members will then march through downtown streets to the Cenotaph at Memorial Park for a Remembrance Day service. The procession will leave City Hall and go west on Church Street, and continue south on Ontario Street and west on St. Paul Street West to the Cenotaph. The Memorial Park ceremony begins at 11 a.m.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised that there will be a rolling road closure while the precession moves from City Hall to the Cenotaph at Memorial park.
